Storytelling Tent

The Fairtrade farmers and workers on the frontline of the climate crisis talk about what it takes to grow so much of the food we all depend on. Hear about their daily challenges and what being part of Fairtrade means for their families and communities…

Meet Micah Tarus

Micah Tarus is a coffee farmer from Kenya. Follow him around his farm as he talks about the challenges he faces as a farmer and shows us some of the effects that climate change is having on his crops.

Meet caroline Rono

Caroline Rono and her husband Nahashon are among 600 members of the Fairtrade certified Kapkiyai co-operative and have been growing coffee for 10 years. In this short film Caroline speaks about life as a Fairtrade farmer and her involvement in the innovative Women In Coffee project.

The film has been adapted from the stunning film series, Farmers Fighting the Global Crisis, which follows the lives of three Fairtrade farmers through 2021. Watch the full series here.

Caroline will join us live from Kenya on 21 February to answer questions following a screening of this short film. Register for the event here.
